Jeremy Sargent OBE is a seasoned China lawyer and entrepreneur with over 20 years' experience living and working in China. He is a fluent Mandarin speaker who completed his first degree in Chinese at Leeds University in the UK. In 2009 Jeremy established "The Happy Monk", a gastro pub concept in Guangzhou in 2009, which has grown to become an award-winning brand in the hospitality industry, with a team of 180 employees operating five busy downtown locations. In 2019  he obtained his executive MBA Degree from a joint programme offered by Columbia University Business School, London Business School and Hong Kong University Business School. In 2012 Jeremy was awarded an OBE by Queen Elizabeth II in recognition of his services on behalf of British businesses and legal services in China.

As a British born Chinese he has a deep appreciation of corporate and tradition Sino cultures in the workplace, where many of his clients are Fortune 500 companies operating in south east Asia - being voted Asia’s #1 Leadership 2019 for Banking and Finance by a FTSE100 bank. Will is a Certified ICF PCC level coach with over 1000 coaching hours. He is a active practitioner of coach and business consulting with clients such as HSBC, Microsoft, KPMG as well as SME’s and start-ups in China. Will previously consulted in the role as the Executive Manager of the British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong, and is often a keynote speaker and moderator of business and leadership forums. As a long-term career mentor for HK University and Shanghai Jiaotong University, he also one of 3 male mentors for the LeanIn Guangzhou organisation for female leaders.
